The Story

About The Blog

It's funny how you live your whole life thinking and believing one thing, and then a curve ball smacks you in the head and everything changes. 2012 changed a lot of things for me; mainly my ability to accept the status quo of my life and coast into oblivion without acknowledging the paradigm shift that was taking place beneath me (like a tectonic plate translocating the continent under my feet). It took me a few minutes to regain my footing, to say the least. So began my digging and delving into the person I always wanted to know. She's in there. You've been invited on the journey. Buckle up, buttercup.

a fundamental change in approach or underlying assumptions.

I began writing when I was a young girl growing up in Groves, Texas in the early 70's; mostly about what I dreamed my life would look like as an adult. Then I became one and decided that wasn't what it was...

I captured this shot of my daughter-in-law, Kayla, when we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge last month. It was so cold and windy, but she really wanted to go, and it was our last night in NY, so I indulged her. If you don't know this yet, she is a CrossFit girl who li...
